Announces CERTIFICATION STUDY GROUP – FALL, 2010 NAAAHR LA (National Association of American Human Resources) is proud to sponsor the Certification Study Group to assist HR professionals in preparing to sit for the Human Resource Certification Institute’s certification exam that confers the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designations. The Study Group offers regular meetings with presentations by a certified HR Instructor and offers an opportunity to meet other professionals also studying for the exam. The week by week Topics for the Study Group preparing for the Fall - 2009 exam is below: Week 1 Human Resource Development Week 2 Compensation Week 3 Labor Relations Employee Relations Week 4 Benefits Week 5 Strategic Management Week 6 Safety, Health & Security Week 7 Staffing Week 8 Review Session Week 9 Review Session Week 10 Study Session QUESTIONS REGARDING THE CLASS & REGISTRATION: Class Facilitator - Kymberly Garrett, MBA SPHR GPHR – at kgarrett@gspionigrp.com. LOCATION: All classes will be held at The GarrettSpioni Group located at: 9107 Wilshire Blvd. Suite #450 – Beverly Hills, CA 90210. There is street parking & discounted valet parking. Prep Class Fee: NAAAHR LA Members, $195; Non NAAAHR LA Members, $250. Payable by cash or check, no later than August 1, 2009. This cost does not include the HRCI study materials or the Exam registration fees Interested candidates should review and complete the SHRM-HRCI Application process. Details, eligibility, exam & material fee information is located at: www.hrci.org. The upcoming Interest Meeting July 13, 2009 will also address eligibility and test-fit questions. Study Groups will begin the week of September 10th, 2009 and will be completed Our classes are divided into (3) three distinct Study Groups that are designed to support the specific needs of each certification classification. They include Study Groups for: PHR (Professionals in Human Resources) designed for the candidate who is venturing into their first experience for HR Certification. Also, those who require additional study time because they need to retest.
SPHR (Senior Professionals in Human Resources) is specifically created for first time candidates sitting for the coveted SPHR. Class work and information will be geared towards the strategy driven SPHR test.
SPHR (Accelerated) this program is for those candidates that require retesting or have already taken prep classes and need a refresher prior to taking the exam.
from 6 PM – 9 PM REGISTRATION FOR THE Fall (2009) CERTIFICATION STUDY GROUP opens July 1st and closes July 31st. There will be an Interest meeting scheduled July 13, 2009 where questions, and in person registration will occur. This meeting will be posted on the Meeting Announcements and website. Class seating is limited to best create an optimal learning experience and ample Instructor one on one time.
